Charlie Stewart
A native of Co Down, Northern Ireland Charlie served in the Royal Navy throughout World War Two. On leaving the Navy he joined Birmingham City Police serving the majority of his time as a dog handler. One of the original founder pipers Charlie remains an active supporter of the band accompanying it on a regular basis and enjoying the social aspect of the band. To mark Charlie's long service and continued support in 2002 he was elected as the band's ambassador.
