Other interesting things about Anna:
Anna started to learn the Bagpipes at the age of 8 years old and was initially taught the practice chanter by her Father, which then to tuition from Pat Cox. Anna first Pipe Band was the West Midlands Fire Service Pipe Band.
Anna played with Midlands Fire Service in Grade 4, for 4 years and then moved onto the 42nd Highlanders Pipe Band in were Grade 3. She competed for 5 years with the 42nd Highlanders and thoroughly enjoying playing with them but also appeared with a none competing local band called Redditch Caledonian.
Anna then moved to the West Midlands Police Pipe Band in 2000 and competed with them until 2005, when unfortunately the band lost a lot of players and were unable to carry on competing for a few years.
Anna has always remained a member of WMP since then, but has enjoyed tuition from Grade 1 Pipe Bands such Ballinderry Bridge and Manawatu in order to progress her piping. She is again now enjoying competing with West Midlands Police and also looking forward to future success with the band.
